I’m a tad bit slow , but seriously better late than never !

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE ! :D

ITS ACTUALLY 2008 ALREADY .

( Its gonna be a very longggg post so bear with me!)

2007 just ended and I want to use this time to highlight it . It has been a very unpredictable year indeed. You expect one thing to happen and surprise surprise , the opposite happens instead . Man, what a year right?

There were usual ups and downs. But this particular year was very different from the rest cause for one, it marks the completion of my secondary school life and that’s something to be mourning and delighted about.
I made a great deal of friends and I don’t wish for it to end , wrapped up with the year . But at the same time, im glad to move on from here (following the results I mean )
Still , to be honest, there is someone whom I don’t wish to continue anything with though. Its not that I hate him or anything , its just a moving on scenario where its much better like that ! Omg I sound emo. But really, if you were me and knew the whole story, you would want the same thing . Actually only a couple of people knew the real deal but hey, I don’t want the word to spread anyway and besides, it’s a fucking long and dreadful story that is so not worth your ( and mine) time listening and reminiscing about it , trust me. BUT HEY, THAT’S THE REASON I WANT TO MOVE ON FROM 2007 AND INTO 2008 right ?! And also, the reason I loved the fact that I’m out of the school, right ? okay, what am I babbling about.

Alright, enough about that cause as for now, I wanna share my top 17 songs of 2007 since im turning seventeen in 2008 .They aren’t the top hits in the US or Spore or anything, just my personal preferences for the past year !

Lets start:D

17. No one –Alicia keys.

“I know some people search the world to find something like what we had” . This song does not really much to me but I can actually feel what those couples really feel when they listen to it. I mean, from her tone, it felt so real to know that there’s someone you love whom you just knew would stay through it all with you . AWWWW. And her voice is priceless baby!

16.Over you- chris daugtry

“I cant believe you were the one who built me up then tear me down like an old abandoned house. What you said when you left just left me cold and out of breath, I felt too far, was in way too deep, guess I let you get the best of me”
“Well I never saw it coming I should have started running a long long time ago”
“And when you slammed the front door shut, a lot of others opened up, so did my eyes so I could see that you never were the best of me!”

Honestly, I like this because the lyrics is very very powerful and it captures your attention just like that ! :D

I mean, i dont know how chris got the whole idea , but im sure its by someone's experience and i know its a very painful one. trust me, I KNOW. But it takes a really brave person to pick up the pieces and move on from there. Whats the use of staying through with a guy even though you know its gonna end one day ? Whats the use of crying over someone who's not even the best for you? Crying is just a temporary satisfaction you know.

15. Running away – midnight hour
Mavis was the one who introduced this pretty masterpiece to me and boy, do i love it! I only heard it from one of the ghost whisperer episode and yea, it was lovely. Really lovely.

I kinda liked it cause it was somehow made for me to start the new year ! :D HAHA

14. Lovestoned- Justin Timberlake
THE BEAT IS WOAH HOT HOTHOT:D

This song has a very slow pop rock to it but it’s unbelievably touching.

12-He said , she said- Ashley Tisdale
When I first heard her, i didnt really like it cause honestly she didnt have that strong vocals but when i listened to it again and again , i realised their catchy upbeat is soo powerful that you would want to dance and move along with her. REALLY.

11. Everywhere I go – Katherine Mcphee

" Its funny how you think you really know yourself like you will neverlose yourself to someone else and i was out to think it was all about you and me"

Basically this song is about a girl who was somehow cheated. The guy lost the entire idea of love but didnt want to tell her about it. From her tone, it sounded like she was hurt so the song really brought out the pain she'd been through. That made a good song to hear.And its the song that brought out the vocals that she's really born with! Its definitely better than her over it song. That sounded too common .

"Oh you know it annoys me that you wasn't man enough to come and tell me that i was never the one, like you said i was. You could've told someone that you didnt love me anymore"

OH COME ON, IF YOU'RE NOT INTO HER ANYMORE, JUST SAY SOMETHING AND GET OVER IT. Why would you want to leave her wondering why you didnt call, who you're hanging out with or what else are you doing behind her back?! Goodness, the art of cheating sucks.

10.Tattoo-jordin sparks

No matter how cocky this sounds, I mean with the whole tattoo in my heart kinda thing like you will always be a part of me thingy, I find it refreshingly sweet. The thing is, even though this song is veryyyy recent, I fell in love with the meaning behind the song. It has a very gorgeous motive and its spectacular to think about and listen to it. Its like even though things are over between two beings, they both know that they once had something real going on. Something that’s just irreplaceable you know. LOVED IT. And the voice of JORDIN SPARKS is like a hot bonus please!

09. Easy – Paula Deanda feat. Bow wow
OMG. Did you all even listen to it ?! Its practically (th)2’s theme song excuse me ! :D HOW CAN THAT NOT MAKE IT ON MY TOP TEN !? HAHA
“I got them chasing me tryna make me the one.” HAHAHAHAHHA omg.
Besides, there’s bow wow and he’s been pretty quiet nowadays and I liked the idea of this song too. If you listen to it just once, many people would judge it like one of those songs that’s such a turnoff but seriously, it has this high self-esteem energy that would get every girl dancing their ass off. I AM SERIOUS. NOT KIDDING. AT ALL.

08. Big girls don’t cry – fergie
If im not wrong, Aqila introduced this song to me. I like the fact that it has this pop plus RnB mix . VERY HOT INDEED.
The story behind it is just amusing you know. Its like even though you love someone so much , you know you have to let go because you still have other unfinish business or dreams or hopes to settle. I know some people think love is everything, I mean its true, but sometimes you gotta think about what else you wanna do in life. You cant just be lying at home with your loved one and cozy up all life round right ? YOU GOTTA GET YOUR BUTTS UP AND MAKE SURE YOU ACHIEVE WHAT YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE FIRST ! Once you retire and if your loved one is meant to be yours, then he will be right there still waiting for you . If he’s not , then admit it, its fate. NEVER MEANT TO BE.

I think this collaboration is quite unlikely. The very RnB dude featuring with one republic, a pretty classical group tunes working together and making a very powerful song. It topped the TRL charts for like a week I think.
Not bad. “Its too late to apologize.” THAT IS FREAKING SHORT BUT POWERFUL SENTENCE.

06 . Please be mine – Jonas brothers
The combo voices of nick and joe jonas, NEED I SAY MORE ?!

“But I’ll be there forever. You will see that its better .All our hopes and our dreams will come true. I will not disappoint you. I will be right there for you til the end. The end of time” Their lyrics are very simple but somehow it made a helluva big deal, don’t you think?
It’s the kind of song every girl dream to have their boyfriend singing to them or their crush as a matter of fact.Yea, many guys would go like all hair-rising if they were to asked to sing it cause well, it is cocky ! Still, the jonas brothers made it work fucking well :D

05. Cinderella under my umbrella- rihanna feat. Chris brown
Don’t know why but I preferred the remix version than the original one, the one with JayZ in it ? And chris brown is so on top of his game la! He is indefinitely cute, great voice and great taste in music! :D

04. Kiss kiss – Chris brown feat. T-pain
HAVE YOU HEARD IT ?! The beat is totally hot and its great for dancing people! This holiday I’m like almost addicted to dance! Ask my cousins if you don’t believe ! We made that pussycat doll thing and damn, were we on the roll baby! :D

03. Your call- secondhand serenade
OMG. When I first heard it, its like true love never end kinda thing.
I immediately let my (th)2 listen to it and every single one of us love it like truckloads! Its very addictive and veryy veryy veryy dreamy . EVRYONE would agree with me la.
“ I was born to tell you I love you”
Its ABSOULTELY cheesy but excuse me, it takes a real man to write songs like this okay!
“ This solitary moment makes me want to come back home”

Boys,this is the kind of tune your girlfriend(most anyway) would want to hear from you . really , trust me on this. Melt and grow , definitely!

02. Thunder – boys like girls
“ your voice was the soundtrack of my summer” Tell me is that an original piece or what ?! It has this remedy that makes you want to listen and sing along as well. During or in between lessons, I hear Charlie singing it, I hear Cheryl singing it and I equally join in toooooo . ITS AWESOMELY SWEEEEEEEEET ! Plus, I am absolutely in love with this band. And this is my favorite song from those superb boys. Keep it up dudes!

01- your guardian angel – The red jumpsuit apparatus
This song is my top favorite for the year because its definitely a song that makes you go AWWWWWWW EVERY TIME YOU HEARD IT. It sounded even better when personally sung to you . PERFECTO I SAID.

A song like this is very cheesy but the more you listen to it, the more you’ll get the feel and the more you’lll understand the band’s idea of love. Its very personal I can see and despite your status,taken or single , you will fall in love with the fact of being in love. REALLY.

OMG. I know i didnt exactly have the best of end of year celebration but hey, my new year day made up for it! :D

Im gonna miss these girls plus tessa yan. they're like one of the best people you'll ever meet in life.Its true that when we all start school and go our separate ways, we would not get to see each other as much anymore. And yea, we'll make new friends but trust me, i will NEVER forget my (th)2 . They way we talk , the things we talk about, the stuff we shop for, the perfect conversations and movie favourites are like the bonus of why we're the best of friends! Besides that, THAT (th)2 bond is somehow unbreakable. WTD :D

No seriously, i dont see us forgetting each other. Dont worry girls, even if we dont go to the same school, we will always have like monthly meetings.
